From January 2023 our school contribution will be increasing from £500 to £750. This means that any school to sign a school agreement form for a First Give partnership from January 2023 will contribute £750 to the cost of delivering the programme in school. This represents only a fifth of the overall cost of delivering programmes in schools.
Rebecca Cramer, First Give Trustee and CEO, Reach Academy Trust said “As a school leader, I know that school budgets are under a lot of pressure. The team at First Give do too. I also know that the school contribution remains extremely good value – approximately £4 per pupil – and enables our teachers and young people to support local communities, through a structured, supportive programme. You’ll know as well as me that our young people’s social action and the £1,000 grant for the winning charity will be more important than ever for local charities and communities.
On behalf of First Give’s board we’d like to thank you for our continued partnership. We look forward to working with your school, teachers, and students again next year.”
As a charity, we unite generous funders with secondary schools to deliver the First Give programme. Our funders support us with the vast majority of the delivery cost so that schools are only required to contribute the remainder. First Give will always work to keep this as low as possible.
A partnership with First Give supports your school and students to connect with the community whilst inspiring charitable giving and empathy for others. With the continued support of our school partners and funders we have donated over £1,000,000 back into local communities through charity grants and student social action. We couldn’t achieve our mission without you – so thank you.
